There is a Cougar intake for sale right now in So Cal Craigs list. it is the later version but the price is kind of steep at $1,900. it can be found in the Inland Empire region of Craigs list under the heading of 302.

I had a small Mustang business 15 years ago but after a while my regular job required a lot of travel so I closed up. The problem these large businesses have is that a large amount of mustangs have been restored to one degree or another and they generally are not driven much and no longer require constant parts replacement or upgrades so sales are way down plus the cost of running a business is way up and with the internet its hard to stay competitive.

I have a 67 mustang with a 347 and it has the T/A intake with the 390 cfm carbs and I can't say enough about how great it runs and has a decent idle even with a big comp roller cam. With the AFR 185 heads it certainly has 400+ hp and does not bog or hesitate at all, very satisfied with it. Just to mention The carbs are backwards as on big blocks.

I almost can not believe this to be true that someone would do something like this. Using his ridiculous logic why not restore it even further back, to molten metal that was delivered to Ford to be poured into sheet metal to build the cars origanally. Hopefully he will sell the car soon and it can be put back to as built by Shelby. This poor car has been through a lot with being restored to an R model (honest mistake) and now this?

Boy there's no getting anything by you guys, did the fact that the "A" ticket which is for the little kids rides, in this case little girls type of rides would interest those wanting to experience the Corvette ride, give it away or the tickets color? These are used to display at car shows on an R-model replica. The Corvette guys are usually the last to get it.

Vintage Disney tickets found, most of you don't remember Autoland with it's rides, including the GT-350R drive and for the young children, the Corvette adventure ride. Those were the good old days!

The winningest Cobra driver has passed away. He was an amazing driver who could win in almost anything he drove, not to mention one of the nicest guys around. I knew him when I was in the Air Force in Phoenix in the middle 70's and saw him win in several Cobras including the Clifton Hill climb driving Mike Shoen's Daytona Coupe. I will never forget when he was trailering one of Shoen's FIA Cobra's into Phoenix International raceway as a favor to me to be used as the pace car for an SCCA National road race. The entire paddock area had a fit as these corvette drivers thought he had shown up to race his old Cobra and were really upset as they knew they were in big trouble if he was in the race. He will be missed!

Could be one of several things, warped or misaligned intake manifold that is sucking oil or I had a new engine that had several bad valve guide seals or worst case broken or incorrect installed rings. I have had all three of these happen to me over the years. Good luck!

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67owners manual
May 27, 2019, 01:15:37 AM
I used to own a 67 GT500 and I still have what is left of the original owners manual and I noticed that on the backcover it says Shelby Automotive and not Shelby American. It is printed in black and white and the car # was about 1500 or so. Any thoughts on this?

I am not trying to dispute the car in question but the 1967/68 Shelby and Mustang notchback racer website says that the original car was crashed in 1972 and the paperwork was bought by Richard Rodeck and the car presented in the recent decade is not the same as the original. The SAAC registry says the car was destroyed in a race accident and the paperwork was purchased by Rodeck with the intent of recreating the car to original specs. Does this mean rebody? Has new information surfaced on this car or is that the reason for the low selling price?

What is the story on the 67 Shelby? T/A car sold recently that is listed on the B/J site as an authentic Shelby car but according to the registry it is was completely destroyed in 1972. The selling price of $120k does seem very low for a documented car. Re body or what?

I was the owner of 6s1869 and unless Hertz removed them they were missing from the car when i had it back in the 70's.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Tunning Dual Carbs

I have a 347 with dual quads that are 390 cfm and I could not be happier, it doesnt stumble or hesitate and pulls like a frieght train cleanly past 6k, i have the carbs mounted backwards like 67 gt500. Mustang and Fords issue a few years back got the highest HP with the 390's over 460's. I didnt think they would work that good but I was wrong.
