Jay is right, volunteer and you will more people than you ever meet by just walking around. It's a lot of fun, only takes a few hours out of the day and it will help make the convention better for all. You may even meet Jay Tabolt's "Prius driving Brother", now that a real celebrity.

No, they are a close replica wheel. I have the original wheels with repo Goodyear BlueStreak's (6:95-14) on them. They look great but are really terrible to drive with.
I think the wheels are the same offset as the original Magnum 500's but I'll have to check. the tires have about 1/2"-5/8" clearance between the tire and the ball joint.   They seem to clear both the front and rear fender lips (non-modified). It looks like in a tight turn at high speeds the front tires might just have interference between the tire and the fender lip. I really don't push it as I am not a really fast drive so for me it may not cause any issues.

took about a75 mile ride. Getting an alignment next week
Rides, smooth, seems to track well. Clearance is a bit tight but seems to just clear
Even stopped by the grocery store

Getting for the "final countdown" to 250,000 miles I changed the old BF Goodrich to the Goodyear Polyglas Fr70-14 radials. Look nice but I am heading for a drive to see how they ride and handle

Unfortunately all states are not the same and it is more a bureaucratic issue meaning it depends on the state and also the person in the state. Technically Shelby and the Shelby VIN is the MFG of record and all states should recognize that. Some times you may have to argue the point with supporting documentation to get the correct way. If you are lucky you will not. In the end it really doesn't matter if you can't win the argument because there was only one Ford VIN that went with one specific Shelby VIN and vice versa.  On the tax side a 65 Shelby VIN can be easily flagged in the system for its high 6 figure value in those states that collect personal property tax every year base on the cars value. That is what happens in my home state of MO on a evolving basis for classic cars that are identifiable as high value. A Ford VIN identifies a old Mustang not worth enough to bother.

When I owned Hertz car 1855, the title said "Ford 2" and Serial Number "SFM 6S1855"

I guess they just made them up as they went along

My brother in law collected Harley Shirts. Before he passed away from ALS he had his wife and sister make a quilt of shirt for each of his 8 kids
it was a great way to help make sure the shirts were not just tossed away.
