^^^ Another guy, back in the day, who scraped off the "H" on the side stripes.

Is that the Hertz car that Kopec put the trailer hitch on?

We used to have something similar at my work. To connect with the main frame you have to dial a regular phone and stick the handset into an appliance on the desk. Our "big" system sat in a large room that had a fire suppression system built into the raised floor and had its on A/C system to keep it cool. Giant tape backups changed several times a day
It was crude and clumsy but it somehow got the job done. Now the cheapest tablet or phone could put it to shame

Bought 6S1855 for $2,000 in 1987
The worst was passing on purchasing CSX2027 ( for years I thought it was 2017) for $3,500 and trade in of 1431. Didn't have a roof or heater so I turned it down
By the way when I bought 1431 I was making $85 a week, so $1,000 was a bunch of money. I didn't have $1,000!but the dealer I worked at helped get the loan. The bank president co-signed my loan and I paid 14.5% interest for a one year loan.

I have an 8 x 16 shed that is filled with a motorcycle, a wood lathe, a metal lathe, a table saw, a band saw, a medium size Snap On tool chest on chest with a side cabinet, a 2 by 8 work bench with vice, a freezer, a gas powered pressure washer, an electric pressure washer, a lawn mower, a Ryobi 4 stroke weed eater and attachments, two gas engines, one for a for a Gravely 5260 and the other for a Troy Bilt  rototiller, a bicycle, a unicycle, 3 sets of Shelby rear quarter window inserts, a set of restored rear interior panels for a 1966 Shelby, my ordinal hood for 6S1431, two large crates filled with all the take offs on my car when I redid it in the late 90's  early 2000's, kayak paddles, a 4 drawer file cabinet, set on drive on ramps, three 5 gallon jugs for gas and kerosene and a John Deere LX379 lawn tractor. I also have about a half a dozen plastic storage containers stacked with various tools and supplies and some lumber stuck up in the rafters.
Most of the work I do on the car is on the driveway and the car is stored in a 28 foot car trailer and if I need to do more work I can take to my buddies shop that is 80' by 90' with a lift, gantry and most of the tools you would need.
In my 73 years of life and 52 years of owning my car I have never had a garage.
If I did have a two car garage or larger with a Man Cave upstairs and a bathroom, i'd probably never go into the house.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Numbers on seat
November 29, 2023, 08:13:42 AM
Here's a few pictures of a 1966 GT350 with original seats that the owner has owned since 1969. They are faded but appear to be the car number written on the bottom of the seat back. It was used to make sure the seats were returned to the correct car when the interior was removed to install the side scoops and side windows according to information supplied to the owner

Has anyone else have more information on this unique piece of seat information?
