There's a neat "adult" store along "80" somewhere. Kopec and Pardee stopped there and the hostess was nude.

Someone should put that one on the list. Wait. That was 35 years ago. She's probably all wrinkled and sagging. Nix that.

Was it this place

Not to be confused with this Roadside America; a more family friendly roadside stop.

I usually Clay Bar my car 3-4 times a year, it is amazing how much "stuff" it picks up. If the clay or a towel touches the ground, it never touches the car again. Too many times I've seen people pick up a micro fiber towel , shake it off and pick off the leaves and start wiping the car.
I use a mild polish a couple of times a year if I think it is required and use Jax Wax Liquid Carnauba as a final product
Hint: to check if your car needs clay bar, take the cellophane off of a cigarette pack and  put your finger into the cellophane and little rub it over the cars surface, if it feels like you are rubbing sandpaper over the surface it needs clay bar. I use Mequiars spray to keep the surface wet and constantly keep turning the clay. When you are done, toss it away. So far its worked for me

A sad day indeed

There were some really nice cars there, including a Series 1,  a real 289 CSX car, a couple of continuation Cobra's, and a bunch of the 65-68 models.
Tire smoke? What tire smoke?

In my mind I always hear the sound that plays when the Wicked Witch rides her bike in the Wizard of Oz

My car (6S1431) has a similar Goodyear "Redline" as a spare, I always suspected it was a replacement tire . I believe it was D-70/14 if I remember correctly. Tossed it in the trash as it was in really bad shape and wouldn't hold air

But Steve, you get to drive her all over the country instead of trailering.

I think you are way ahead!

Terry
I did trailer it to Detroit, Michigan , you're roads in the Detroit area are the worst I've ever experienced . Feels like the Ho Cih Minh trail after a B52 flyover

Agreed, I am amazed at the amount of details on some cars and the lack of details on others, it was like some were rented, sold and never heard from again, others have superior lineage, each sale, modification, stories and history
My hats off to the registry keepers, I applaud the work so far.
