Thanks Bob, that really helps but I can’t quite make out what kind of nut that is, it looks kind of like the self tapping nut with the built in shoulders like the ones that attaches the quarter window trim (boomerang), instead of an actual threaded nut. My originals just had an ordinary nut like you’d get at the hardware store but there was a lot of wire splicing ant the fiberglass had been patched so it probably got messed up in a fender bender and whoever fixed it used whatever they could find.
It was good to meet and talk to you Tom!

Can anyone please tell me where and what the ground wire attaches to and what bolt or screw is use for the front turn lamp wiring? A picture would be great.
Thank you

Thanks in advance.

When did your gauge restoration and what did they do? Mine works but the black face of the dial is cracked.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69 door panel suggestions
« on: August 19, 2021, 05:11:07 PM »
I have a 69 Dearborn built GT350 with Black interior that doesnít have the original door panels so I canít have them recovered. The reproductions that were on the car had speaker holes cut out and Iím restoring it back original with no door speakers and an AM radio. any suggestions?
Mustang Market says they have the most original with the best material that stays soft like originals then thereís TMI who seems to be the most expensive then thereís
Dashes Direct who says they have good reproductions until the improved version comes out???
I have no clue!

I checked mine out and it has the set screw in the front.

Thanks guys for the info and the suggestions. How much for the handle?

My 69  GT350 has a wooden shift lever handle that does not have a Cobra emblem attached to the left side of the handle as I have seen in many others. Did some come with the emblem and some didnít? Also, in looking online it appears thereís an intention carved out of the wood so the emblem fits into it, am I seeing this right? There is no evidence of my shifter ever having an emblem.
Thanks
