It may just be me but I tried that quartz clock replacement mechanism and couldn't get it to work.

My painter did the underside in gloss black, if it's primer then wouldn't it be a flat or satin?

I think you misunderstand what I'm asking. There is an adjuster knob going through the lense as you said but that just moves the marker hand not the actual clock. If you look at the pictures I've attached you can see the adjuster for the clock itself that goes through the lense and the clock face, notice the small brass gear on the end of the adjuster shaft...that gear pops off the end of the shaft and or spins on the end of the shaft so you can't adjust the clock. I'm trying to figure out how to make that gear stay on the shaft without spinning.
Thank you

Is the underside of the stone deflector painted the Dark Argent the same grill area?
Thanks

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69 Clock issues.

1969  clock problems, my clock is working but the adjustment gear keeps pulling off of the shaft and it also spins on the shaft. The gear seems to have a split in it and so does the one I have from an extra clock as well, I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or if the gear is supposed to be solid and that's what's causing the issue. I need the gear to stay on the shaft and not spin so the clock can be adjusted.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Look for a guy named Bruce Glocke on Facebook, he's in Manawa Wisconsin. He's parted out a bunch of Mustangs and is on the 69-70 MACH 1 FaceBook site selling parts. I've bought a few things from him and he has a lot of stuff so he might have an AM 8 Track. I bought an AM Radio from him and about to get a clock.  I joined that Facebook site because so many parts are the same as on a Shelby and I've found they can be cheaper because sometimes it's more expensive when you ask for parts for a "SHELBY"   I have gone on that site and just asked if anyone had something and have had multiple responses.

My car has the Cobra emblem and it says COBRA under it but I've seen some that say SHELBY under the Cobra emblem. Is there any rhyme or reason as to which car gets which?

Thanks Jeff, which clip is correct for a Dearborn car? Also any suggestions on who has those clips, I didn't see them at NPD, CJP, Classic or Kentucky Mustang

Thanks Bob, it doesn't appear that anything was ever replaced on the front end of my car as all of the spot welds appear to be original, that's why I thought if it had one at one time it might have been clipped on.

69 GT350 build date 1/8/69, is it supposed to have a seal? I don't find any holes for a stapled one but I know there is a clip on.

I've run T/As for decades and while they may have changed, to me they are still the best looking tire out there for Classic 60s and 70s cars. The Cooper Cobras look like a cheaper knock off of the classic BF Goodrich, Firestone's or Goodyear's. Everyone has their own opinion and that's mine, it's all personal opinion.

Unfortunately I don't have anything left except a couple of spots of tape residue.
