The pics help a great deal.   Thank you!

Your welcome. Just noticed that the middle picture shows just part of an aftermarket clamp a PO must have installed to the lower hose ::)

This article is absolutely must to be read 10 times to paint undercarriage-I would be in no way be able to do the job without it--one last question---I understand fenders were painted off the vehicle, after installation do they get any sound deadner  or blackout---thanks

For a Shelby the whole front end was painted as a unit off the car. Since they (the cars) were shipped from the car assembly plant  (Dearborn) without any front fenders they didn't receive factory sound deadener in the front wheel well at Dearborn and AO Smith didn't add any.

No black out to either the front or rear wheel well was done

A  few pictures of the process that were shared with me

.......... The return line was a 3/8 inch rubber hose not showing texture on the outside surface(slightly larger outside diameter then fuel line)  that routed along and on top of the driver frame rail where it attached to the P/S cooler with crimp clamps at the radiator support.

Don't believe (or I don't recall ever seeing) ones for 66 regular production vehicles though magazines did include a small graph in many of their road tests if I recall correctly. Not sure how exact or correct they are.  IF the factory did I'm sure someone will pop up and provide them if their posting abilities work

For race engines I've seen where the owner got copies as part of the information package HP and torque tables Sometimes multiple ones before and after adjustments and further tuning

Out of curiosity - is there any real value to this engine / tranny?

Not sure what you mean by "real"  value. It has value in a number of ways and as a display piece there is likely a number of possible new homes for such a thing though it appears it might need restoration given its current condition

That bare concrete floor and metal walls and roof have to provide an interesting set of acrostics
Looks like everyone was having fun. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing. Have seen a number of these over the years. A friend just recently purchased a K code example that had been used/given to a high school back in the day. Didn't have the same plate on it though - at least that they mentioned yet

dated oct 66?

Sheet metal stampings do not include the year, just month an day of month. You have to use different indicators (not found on all panels - but on others were are changes/differences) to help determine if it might be a 65 or 66. In the case of the trunk lid the inner panel design (windows or circles) would be the give away

Thanks  Might want to check how that date fits others that make up the main unibody of the car if you care about that sort of things

IF your referring to the plastic label that comes with the repo 68 - style battery. Originally for 66 it was not there

All I can say is wow! $95k hammer price. Not a GT but has GT wheels. Somebody really wanted it

Those styled steel wheels were not part of the GT package ;)  but sold separately

Jeff -

Not trying to hi-jack this thread but would welcome your (and others) opinion regarding what heads and carburetor would be correct for a 4/17/67 built K Mustang?

Lets take this to PM or email rather than get too far off track here. ;)

Will need to know where the car was assembled.  And will ask if you purchased a Marti report for your car
