Hi. Anybody can explain to me why Ford put a 7.35 in Sheby's and 7.75 in Boss's ?

Is it possible to verify a 428 CJ w/o seeing the block scratch letter? These are the numbers I've been able to find to date:

Block casting # C6ME-A (seems correct for '68-70 428CJ)
Engine block date code is "8G23" (July 23, 1968) also seems correct. Vehicle build date was 1/28/69 from the Marti report.
Cylinder head casting # C8OE-C090-N (seems correct)
Cylinder head date code: 8L8 = Nov 8th, 1968 (seems correct)

The vin stamping on the block is illegible. See pic below.

Thanks for the help.

what is your VIN ? Mine's build date is one day after january 29

Mine's restauration has already 18 year old. Yes the inside is hairy style fiberglass.
A few years ago I learn from a previews post that the inside was suppose to be black. So I take it off, sand it, used the occasion to remove the rough with corners sections and repainted as it should be.

Hi.
I have used both lower section and front valence from branda so they fit well . if you keep using your original front valence it might be an other story.

First. Check voltage when brake is apply both side of brake switch...Using a voltmeter is the best, and, FYI brake switch is feeded by a termal breaker under the console.
