Is it possible we can get this resolved, been close to a week now ?

Can't post images, I know it can be done through the gallery, (propayne) has been kind enough to post the instructions THANKS !

but I have tried half a dozen times and can't get it to work, too many steps, and it has been noted that I am not alone being

frustrated with the gallery method.

It's so much easier to attach an image to a post, one step  ;)

Mike

Mike,

Please send a PM to "Forum Guide", as he is the only one with that level of access on the server.

You're only allowed if you bring that awesome new Shelby of yours.

If it's done by then, if not, a nice long ride in the 289 roadster will have to suffice  ;)

Up For Auction / Re: 0F02R482841 on BAT
February 23, 2022, 07:05:40 AM
Why was this thread closed, it was a lack of one of the two below:

Either it's a lack of the following:

Civility
1: Merriam Webster defines civility as civilized conduct or a polite act or expression.

Courtesy
1 : the quality or state of being respectful and considerate of others
2 : a polite or generous act or expression

I missed last year due to circumstances beyond my control, I'm up for it this year.

Is anyone going to SAAC 47 from the CAROLINAS? I'm planning to go even though they had it at Indy recently. Tired of Covid need to get out. John

Still up in the air as I await a slot for my 70 GT350 ragtop to be worked on.

My brother and both own 1968 GT 350's since the late 1970's.  They haven't seen the light of day since the mid 1980's.   Some day I will get mine back on the road.  My brother on the other hand won't.  It will be a future barn find.    Both our cars are not in the registry.

Contrary to popular believe, while your name may not be publically in the registry, it may be known to the registrar. In addition, your car, while not listed under your name within the registry, it is still listed there.

Just saying  8)

Chris is a KR owner so i guess that's why he posted here ! i heard is not going to other forum  like 65 GT 350 'cause "no chance" for newbie  there >:(   ;D
just kidding ....
Yep !  You seen what happened to 6S1523, in the "1966" section.
They all but tore him a new a__hole. And most on here wonder why this forum is going to hell??
For God's sake it's an open forum let people do, say, work and play on their Automobiles the way they want to!!!  Geez!!

Some on here are very knowledgeable about first Gen Shelby, I'll admit that. But who's to say or tell ANYONE what to do (or don't do) with THEIR car. The knowledgeable will come back and say, " Well, when they(in Barney Fife voice), go to sell their 65-70 Shelby, everyone involved with the sale needs to know the changes", and I completely agree, but who the Hell has the right to tell ANYONE what they can do to there car??? That's what this is about. And if they don't follow the diehard Shelby group, that group blast them, and keep rolling with the negative comments.

The supposed buyer, if/when the seller of a Shelby decides to sell, the BUYER should've already done his homework, have a knowledgeable Shelby enthusiast in place to look at the car. If I were to go spend a stupid amount of money on a first Gen Shelby,  I'd be foolish not to have someone in place to go over it and see about changes (permanent and/or temporary), before ANYTHING is signed and money moved.

So, to you knowledgeable, if someone goes and buys a Shelby without doing their homework, so be it. And if/when it's ever passed on again, the buyer should do the same thing.

Yes, I'm sure a Shelby can be and will be passed on to another buyer with troubles lurking about the Shelby. But, this all goes back to Inspection, knowledge, going over the car with a fine tooth comb.

But, there's nothing in the World anybody can do about it when it is done. But, the people on this forum know better and in most cases will make sure nothing like this happens in this community. That's all we can do.

Just My Opinion, and yes we all are free to give "Opinions".

Perhaps you did not realize how many "additional" (IE: duplicate) threads had been started on the exact same subject and merged or removed from the forum before you attempted to chastise me for advising the OP of the active thread on the subject in which he stumbled across on the web. There is more that goes on behind the scenes here than what you see. But yes, you decided to make your feelings known to all who will read this thread by personally attacking my personal opinion originally posted. Thus negating my right to an opinion for your own. Bravo my friend, bravo.

Want as nice and as near Concours rotisserie  as we can afford, no color preference but must be color the car is born with, Numbers matching, prefer original metal, the more original parts the better, prefer automatic but 4 speed will work. We are somewhat flexible but the closer to preferences the better. We would love to discuss anything. You never know what might work but we just are not going to do our own rotisserie anymore.   Anyone know of anything?

For future reference, the only place to post a "want to buy" item is in the appropriate classified subforum.
