were panel date codes stamped in with hand stamps or pressed into panels?

Date codes were pressed in at time of stamping.

Ned,
Is this CaptDave guy trying to take his place on Facebook?

Michael

Interesting first post, I'd have to say no, Capt Dave posts tons of pictures, but does not have any false conspiracies about this or that. Personally, I like the pictures, why do feel otherwise?

Bob,

Some questions are better sent in a PM, or asked in a discussion thread such as this, or both, so as to not torpedo a sellers classified ad. SAAC members have a tendency to pile on to such questions, which then Segways into a discussion of what is right, or wrong about specific items. I then get PM's or sometimes even phone call at home asking for those types of posts to be removed. Not every seller is a concours judge, nor do they know the minute details, they bought the car, drove it, now it's posted here for sale. Some decorum is expected on both sides of that equation, put yourself in the sellers shoes and imagine the reaction through their eyes.

Hope all is well, May 2021 be better than 2020.

Not till you mentioned it in the deleted For Sale post.  ;)

It's not rocket science  ;D

"This Forum is for listing cars that you personally have for sale. Please limit ALL replies in this forum to specific questions, to the seller, about the car.

Cross-talk, or conversations about the item among members, should be made on another thread in the Discussion area....not on the For Sale thread."

Then again, for some, maybe it is  ::)

Bob, do you know if the hood hinges were also a funky gold.  I had my hinges rebuilt and they just asked if I wanted them black or the original gold.  I'm not sure they would really know.  Some of the photos make them look like they are bare metal.  My powder coated black looks great but I guess thats got to go...LOL

They are not gold, not originally at least  ;)

Data mining old posts and then posting them here is considered bad form on any forum:
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/1487175-post17.html

You may want to just post your initial questions, with as much of your details as possible, and let the masses respond.

I do suggest this form both forums, as your data mining may not cover all posts, only those with the key words you may have searched, thus depriving yourself of the collective knowledge of both sites separately.
