I made this exact swap on our '66 Carryover. I believe the shifter control box is the same for both the top-loader and our T-10s. The linkage is different The tabs that connect the linkage to the transmission are different also. The tabs for the top-loader are rectangular. The tabs for the T-10 are oval or egg shaped as you can see in the excellent pictures posted by GJZ. I found my shifter on Craigslist but you might also put a "wanted" ad here on the SAAC Forum and the Concourse Mustang Forum. The prices seem to range from $300 up to $600+ depending on condition and what parts are included. Getting the shifter handle and knob is a bonus. Plan on rebuilding the shifter. Scott Drake sells a nice kit.

I saw this one on the Phoenix CL this weekend. Not mine, but another option for you.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Re: Terrible accident

My heart sinks reading there was a male juvenile passenger in the car. Grandson? Nephew? I hope the young man recovers physically and over time, emotionally too. It sounds like a fantastic day that turned tragic in an instant. Prayers for everyone affected by this crash. So sad.

Vern - we live in Denver and the postcard of Stapleton Airport brought back memories. How incredibly random -- and cool! -- that a GT350H just happened to be on display when the photo was taken. I enjoyed looking through the listings.

Here is another ad with a '67 that I really like also.

+1 Propayne - My favorite also. I believe that is George Bartell art work. How cool would it be to find his ORGINAL artwork for this ad?! Same for the cover of the 1967 Owners Manual. Hopefully, George or his family or a Shelby collector has these.

Not as many up for auction as I was guessing when I opened Brian's post. Compared to Kissimmee anyway.
Brian, thanks again for taking the time to compile and post the list and also the results.

Does anyone have the background on lot S76.1? This is the '66 with Walt Hane's name on the rear quarter and looks to be converted to R Model specs. Jere Creed's name is on the door so I assume he was the driver. The announcers say this is a real Shelby that started life as a GT350H. It seems like there were one or two bids and it flat-lined at $110,000.

(The car is on episode 11 around 1:17)

Thanks Bill for the excellent and very helpful pictures.

Interesting to look at the diagram and notice the lower washer, the spacer and the upper washer are different part numbers. Therefore a difference in parts. I will have to look closely at mine again and note the differences.

Hammer, I would contact Bret directly with questions. In my opinion and dealings with Bret, he is a good guy and a straight shooter. He also has a ton of experience buying/selling Shelby's so I think he will give you a good evaluation of each car.
Please read all you can about the Carryovers including the excellent article about the unique features of the Carryovers at    carryovergt350.com.  Good luck in your quest. I can tell you first hand these cars a total blast to drive!

I came across this ad on Craigslist for NOS 1967 Shelby (Thunderbird) wheel covers including the center inserts. Comments on if these are original and any details are most welcome.

I could use one for a spare in the trunk. If the person buying these only needs one as well, please PM me! Thanks

Congratulations X 2! There are lots of photos of Shelby's with airplanes in the background but I don't recall a photo with the Stanley Cup. Very sweet that the Car and the Cup came together in the same year for you. Hopefully, there are many happy drives in your future.

Up For Auction / Shelby GT350 sign on Craigslist

Hello, I am posting this for comment from the forum. Any background on this? Is it 1960's vintage? Any cool history behind it? Or is it just a tin sign someone made up to sell at a Barret-Jackson booth?  Here is the description:

I have a nice two sided porcelain sign shelby GT-350, I do not know much about it, bought it with a bunch of other Mustang Nos stuff. It is used got scratched and dings in it but the edge has nicks in from being rolled or dropped. A really neat piece of history. This is a heavy metal sign weighs almost 15 pounds. It is not painted and it is 30 inches round. Taking bids on it
