I had to do a double take when I saw it. Was really stoked when I bought it. Anyone know if this is rare? It is destined for the cave!

I found this on Saturday at an estate sale in Bremerton, Wa.

I bought 2 sets of the Mustangs unlimited sets and they were way too short. Didn't try branda. Had to make my own to clear the 48 IDA webers

I am sure we will meet again. He attends many shows around here.
I asked about the hood, as it was puzzling me too. He said it was the original hood. When did the make the switch from steel to fiberglass inner structures?

Just a few pics of 3119. I know a few wanted to see some shots of it. Now that we can upload pictures... ;D
I did add a few details just based on personal tastes. The magstars, the stripes, center lights, (always liked it better than outboards) 48 IDA weber carbs. (Outstanding performance!)

Unfortunately my phone camera was DOA that day so I didn't get any of our cars together. But I did manage to find a few that I had taken from earlier shows.
#10 has all original panels. Trunk lid is steel frame, hood is fiberglass frame. No running lights. Smooth interior. (Orig interior)
He is very careful about who gets to see the door tag, for obvious reasons. I am not sure he would allow me to take a pic and post it. He did say most were pryed off. His looks pristine!

So I was camped out with #10 67 gt350 today at a car show. Original owner car, great guy. We shared several stories of our cars and compared numerous differences! He being the alpha, #10 and me omega being #3119. He 'carefully' revealed his "special performance vehicle" door tag that showed the Ford VIN. very unusual, never seen one that was attatched. Usually they were placed loose in the glove box.
Also noticed his hood peak line faded halfway down his hood scoop, never seen that one either. I have seen over a hundred 67 Shelbys but this the first for both of these details.

Looks like the snake on the reproduction is embossed while little reds is protruding off the emblem. Shapes are slightly different too.

Interesting topic. I always thought the Z designated outboard headlights. Here's my plate.
(The site won't let me upload,  I'll try later)
