Looking to buy an original mid 1960's Autolite transistorized ignition amplifier XF-172234 in good working condition.  Note, the XF amplifier is shaped differently than the OEM Galaxy amplifier - the XF-172234 unit looks similar to a Boss 302 rev limiter. Thanks!

2019 Amelia Island Concours offered attendees & racing enthusiasts (especially of the GT40 persuasion) a rare opportunity:

Six time LeMans winner(!) Jacky Ickx was re-united with a bunch of his former race cars.  Two of the cars were Gulf GT40P/1075 (1968/69 LeMans winner) and prototype Gulf GT40P/1049 (1967 Daytona class winner).  Iconic driver and race cars.

Here's a link:

Looking for one or more original #287 Girling brass banjo fittings.  Stamped #287 on the pad near the end with 3/8"x24 internal thread.   Thanks!

HM/1047 won BEST IN CLASS @ the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours.    Kudos to Raredrive Inc and Mark & Carrie Allin (fellow SAAC members) for the expert preparation of HM/1047!

It's a rare opportunity to see a full race 427 Ford MKIIB that had been sitting in 50+ years of relative obscurity, come out and complete the Pebble Beach 70 mile driving tour and then idle onto the Sunday morning Pebble Beach lawn and WIN BEST IN CLASS.  The only thing that would have made it more memorable is if Dan Gurney were still alive and once again back in HM/1047's driver's seat for the event.

I wasn't at Pebble Beach and don't have any photos of my own, but here are some links from other sources:

http://www.drjohn.cc        It's a bit difficult to find the 1047 pics on this website, but IMHO it's worth the effort: Click on "Picture Galleries" & then click on "My photographs", then "All my photos", then "Le Mans Classic 2012 GT40-1047" (54 photos).

One of only two MIIB's in existence.  HM/1047 hasn't been seen by the general public in approx 50 years. Restored to 1967 LeMans specifications: 2-4V dry deck tunnelport 427, acrylic lacquer paint, electroluminescent roundel panels, unique polycarbonate carb air ductwork, Pyrotector automatic fire system, tilt front end, etc.

IIRC, that's SFM5S077 on back of Marv's truck.

Eclectic mix of (mostly) GT40 memorabilia on ebay - starting with perhaps the only bottle that escaped "sampling" by Kopec/Pardee.  ::)

Regional Shows and Events / Re: TOUR AUTO 2018

CHRIS NOS - thank you for the great Tour Auto photos - much appreciated!  The shots of the Daytona Coupe (a stunning original example) and the silver GT40 "203" (nicely done Superformance) are fantastic.  The Tour Auto event can be exciting - as this link shows of original GT40P/1051 spinning with some nice sound effects, too:

Just listed an original Cobra driver item on ebay for the serious Shelby American memorabilia collector.  Ed Lowther was one of the most famous Cobra drivers back in the day.  He owned/drove everything from Cobras to Corvettes to GT40's.  Us old timers will never forget the pride we had when Ed piloted CSX3009 to the 1966 A Prod Championship.  Good luck!
