Prefer NOS if anyone has one...

Nothing beats a classic!

Would recommend patching the battery apron if it has rust in the normal areas.  It's very difficult to replace the whole piece and get the spot welds looking like original.

Plus if you get an NOS one it wont have the square and oval punchouts for the fender clip locations. Unless you have some really neat metal punching dies.

Hello Bret,

I know you said you preferred NOS, but I have this and had been saving it for myself in the event I needed it. This has all the details needed. Question is how good is your metal guy at tack welding.
Anyway, it's just an option. Shoot me a PM and let me know what it's worth to you if you are interested . I'm very reasonable and not a parts shark. The same if there's a particular pic  or detail you need to see. I brought this from California home to my NY home.

Cheers,
~Earl J

p.s. I do have an NOS driver's side as well.

Just one more thing to note regarding NOS battery aprons is most I have seen are based on the '66 design, which has dimples for the convertible power top junction plate and the solenoid mounting holes are positioned lower to allow clearance for convertible bracing.
