Probably got lost at some point in the past 52 years. The car found a set of 10 spoke wheels in the same period of time.

Yeah just seems odd for that level of a restoration to forget something that prominent to a KR , I was wondering maybe because it was such an early car it didn't come with one, was this something Ford or Shelby added after they found there was a problem and needed one on later cars ? .I always found it such a strange piece and the placement of it right in front of snorkel, it's the one thing you get tons of questions of when you go to a show people wanna know what is that.
