Radiator

HI,
I building my 67 289, Should I use a original 3 core Radiator or use a newer Alum. Type? I would like to keep a fan shroud and I'm using a Hipo Fan.

There is no advantage to an aluminum v. brass radiator except for the weight savings.

I've heard of the aluminum radiators splitting in as little as 3 or 4 years. Generally speaking, they can not be repaired while brass copper can be resoldered.

Many people are buying them simply because of the glitz but there is no performance to be gained.
