Its been hot in florida this summer so progress has been slow, but fall is around the corner so what
did they use clear silicone, black silicone? or something else? on the upper and lower side scoops?

thanks in advance,

Mike

Clear is what is called for.

The sealant was used after the scoops were mounted and it is present on all four scoops and the quarter panel end caps

On the lower scoops I have seen a fair number of original cars that have had a black mastic sealer at the bottom edge of the scoop, in addition to the clear silicone on the rest of the scoop. It appears ( IMHO) that this was done on cars that the lower scoop did not fit well to the body and they used this sealant to fill the gap.
