For those of you who have original 3 hole steering wheels, I need to know if the original wheels were varnished clear coat shiny or if they were oiled. I am getting very close to having an original wheel duplicated on the original tooling and from the original drawings. Please check your original wheels and see if there is evidence of varnish or if they were oiled?  More details will follow on the reproduction of the original wheel. Thanks

To anyone following this topic, I now have the wheels finished and in my hands and will start a new topic.

Nice work, not easy to correctly reproduce a lot of this "Shelby used" stuff.

Thanks. It is all them who make them. I just happed to find them along with a lot of other important detail. My write up was pushed to the Misc for Sale and Up for Auction section. There is quite a bit of detail there. I am not in the business of making or selling the wheels. The reference is there.
