If you have a car from this dealer or anything to share, now would be a wonderful time to do so.

The dealer article is being started...all years welcome!

Back in the mid '70's I lived in Missouri and travelled the state for a large pharmaceutical company. One day, while heading west on I-70 towards Kansas City, I saw a 289 Cobra on a trailer heading the same way.. I followed it for several miles until the pickup and trailer pulled off at an exit and the occupants went into a Holiday Inn for lunch. Turns out it was Mack Yates CSX 2385, which was an independent comp car, and it was headed for a local race. The occupants were Yates' crew. In those days, to come across a Cobra was an extremely rare event, and I've never forgotten it.

Sorry, I am not on FB and cant see the group. I suspect the information there was taken from some other original source without credit. That seems to be the pattern .

I apologize in advance if I am off base.

Kranky, thanks for the link ! what a great bunch of photos !

Pete, site works for me, you don't have to be on Facebook to see it, when it prompts you to join, just say not now, and you can

look at it, there are quite a few Facebook sites that work like that.

SUPER photos!!  Thanks for sharing 8)

On the one photo about #12 down from the first one, the Datsun Z with the #3 on the side, wonder if that's a BRE Datsun?  I think it is. I can't see it to well.

If that is a BRE Datsun, it's a very early one. They used to have lots of spoilers and flares and dramatic red, white and blue paint jobs, if I recall. It does have a BRE decal on the rear quarter, though, but maybe that is just from buying parts like I did ;D

Got some great contributions, will accept anything no matter how small.

Here's is a pic from that FB page you would find interesting Pete.

The text with the post just says "March 1968". From a local newspaper I would guess. Maybe you can track it down.

Thanks, I have that one. I appreciate it. There is another version with the hood of the car up.

Come on FB guys, you will need to step up. Your dealing with professionals.

Lol

Mack Yates raced CSX 2385 and 5R104 I believe...
