1968 GT500KR 4speed Flywheel original or nos

428CJ standard flywheel. 
I just heard from my engine shop that the flywheel stress crack is not cleaning up in a resurface. 
My flywheel only had the engineering number and hardness dimple. 
I would a unit with similar markings.
Anyone have a source for a flywheel that will resurface within specs and be safe?

I believe the flywheel  C6AE-6375-B that is posted is for a hard to find 67 428 PI engine and not typically used for a Cobra Jet . It will work but I wouldn't want to use that on a CJ unless I was rebalancing it with the crank and different balancer.  I am a little skittish about imbalance and would want to rebalance the flywheel with the crankshaft and balancer regardless of which new different flywheel I was using. you can chance it and it will probably be fine but for the insurance cost of a balance job you can have piece of mind. I think 428 CJ flywheels are available aftermarket for the same money. Since it is not seen like cams,bearing etc. no harm no foul as long as it performs at least as good as original.  It sounds like you might be doing that already engine rebuild and balancing but just in case not this is the best time so I thought I would mention it.

I agree with Bob on going with like a Centerforce steel flywheel. It should still be balanced with your rotating assembly. Steve will know the application of that NOS flywheel if you ask him. Good luck.

Very good information..and I have the same concerns about balance.
My motor is being balanced at the very good engine shop.. and I will be calling him today to discuss the options.  The guy doing the work is an old school guy that I trust.
He did the work on my 289 hipo years ago.
