Mike Chanter was one of Roger's best friends and also worked at Ford . IIRC  Mike said Roger passed away from cancer. Roger and i became friends when he had his dual Paxton supercharged Hertz car. (maybe 6S669?) Too many years have passed to be sure on the vin. Jeff Burgy also knew roger well.

Must have been fairly recent.  I last saw Roger at the 2019 All Ford Nationals in Carlisle when I bought a couple of books from him.  Super nice guy and I enjoyed the time I spent with him talking about a variety of subjects, not all Shelby or car related.  Hope what you say is not true.

Me too! I thought Mike told me that when I saw him in Indy at the PRI show. I would REALLY like  to hear I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roger is a great guy! Maybe it was his hair that went away.

Roger called me two years ago; needed a M/T flywheel for a car
he was building for his son.  Back then he lived in Perry, Michigan.
Probably still lives there.  I can remember he had milk crates full of
those gas caps back in the later 70s.  I have not heard from him lately.
Perhaps Mr Guyer or Mr Burgy can chime in.

I'm happy to report that I saw Roger at at Carlisle on Sunday.  He was his same old self and assured me that the reports of his passing were unfounded.

MOST EXCELLENT!  Roger is one heck of a guy. Glad to hear the rumor was false.
