Float bowl repair
« on: April 13, 2021, 10:14:48 PM »
Good evening folks,
I have a 68 GT 500KR that Spit the needle and seat out of the rear bowl of the carburetor.

It could have been catastrophic, thankfully it happened in the driveway with the hood up.

After removal and disassembly I found that both bowls have flat to junk threads

                              for the needle & seat.

My question is does anyone know someone who can safety repair these bowls?

                              Thanks, Mitch

I don't think repair is a viable option. Contact Carls Ford Parts for some replacements .

Daytona Parts Co. can install a threaded sleeve which is pinned in place to restore the threads in the float adjustment.  Tiny pin towards the rear so hard to see.
