I agree Peter L. ... there but for the grace of God go we. Regardless of insurance payout you can't put a price on hours that you toil with these cars to get them to look/run good. Hope it never happens to me.

Honestly the back end looks pretty good, for the right price it would make a great garage ornament (as long as you don’t back it out).Anyone know how the fire occurred?

To be quite honest &  IMO, this car, using repop parts, could be made a daily driver and fun car quite cheaply.
Even though it will have a salvage title, who cares if you are in it 1/2 value of a clean title real Shelby?

Just thoughts from the peanut gallery.
I have personally witnessed shelbys and cobras in FAR worse condition that were brought back, so have you guys and gals.
Just that back when, the cobra's and shelby's, boss 9's etc were not marked as salvage.

Assuming that those are the tires on it during the fire, it is interesting how they escaped nearly unscathed.

I would say once the hood caught fire, all fiber glass went fast.
1 valve cover melted.
It was fast and hot  in my opinion.
Look at the a/c condenser and a/c compressor.
Tires could have made it?
