Well there is some vibration at 60 plus mph. I had considered getting the driveshaft balanced.

Oh heck easy fix, keep it under 59 MPH
But how will I get up to 88 mph and go back to 1965 and buy a couple Cobras and R models and stash them away with zero miles until I travel back to present day and remove them from storage with good title to them?

Broken flange where it connects to the header. I didn't stand a chance doing this one on my own. I have limits.

The car has Klutt's close ratio Toploader racing transmission with the Richmond gears.  Maybe the tachometer is reading incorrectly?  The tires on the car are currently 215 60R 15 in the rear and 210 60R 15 in the front.  Suggestions?

I had a similar issue with the orginal tach; it shows much higher RPM for a given speed than I thought.  Put in an aftermarket tach and now with 3.50 at 70 mph runs arounds 3200 rpm.  the difference is most dramatic at lower rpm's.  above 4000 the tachs are similar

^^+1

Richard:  Or is it your speedometer?   Or some of both?    Is your 4th gear a 1:1?

Yes 1 to 1. Speedo probably slow too. As we all know in the old days they could be at least 10 mph off…..officer

Yes 1:1

Flange fixed with a full bead weld I believe is what they called it.  Should be good now for a while. There is a shortage of welders up here in Chicagoland apparently.

I always sang the song drove my Shelby to the Levee.

If they had driven a Ford to the Levee, they would have arrived before it had dried.
