Maybe the tachometer is reading incorrectly? The tires on the car are currently 215 60R 15 in the rear and 210 60R 15 in the front. Suggestions?I had a similar issue with the orginal tach; it shows much higher RPM for a given speed than I thought. Put in an aftermarket tach and now with 3.50 at 70 mph runs arounds 3200 rpm. the difference is most dramatic at lower rpm's. above 4000 the tachs are similar^^+1 Richard: Or is it your speedometer? Or some of both? Is your 4th gear a 1:1?

Flange fixed with a full bead weld I believe is what they called it. Should be good now for a while. There is a shortage of welders up here in Chicagoland apparently.
