Hi all,

There were types on a Shelby GT500 windshield washer reservoir bag ?
I think there are types from the back side.
Here are some photos.

Thanks Kyle.

Are you including non-original service (NOS) parts?

Very often service replacements made after the year of car production are different due to changing requirements/specs and changing suppliers to fill orders

I am looking for an original bag.
These two photos of the bags are NOS.
Kyle.

Kyle

I need to know how they were from production line.

Anyone know how they were from production please?
Thanks Kyle.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but there were two types of windshield washer holders I'm aware of;
-Early cars received the washer fluid bag as you pictured above (originals have a dull gold printed color)
-Later cars received the plastic bottle container.
We've been told the plastic bottles were documented to be a running change at Ford around 3/1/1967.
I have not seen that document, but would like to...to confirm the statement and date.

Might the point be, where could somebody get the gold print re-applied onto an original bag?

Kyle

Hi Rich,

My car have the bag not the plastic bottle.
But it is missing.
My question is the first two pictures that I found from Internet the first one from the back is a cotton material and the second one is more glossy material.

How they were from production?

Hi Kyle,

I'll try to answer your question.  There are some differences between the assembly-line, early style and later style service replacement '67 washer bags.  The assembly-line style washer bags are the same as the early service replacement washer bags.  Both washer bags have a fabric backside that has a soft woven cotton appearance that looks to be treated to hold liquid.

The later service replacement washer bags tend to have a woven fabric (possibly a nylon/cotton mix) where the weave is more apparent and it does not have that soft treated cotton appearance.

Here are a couple pictures to show the difference between the assembly-line/early service and later service washer bags (some pictures are difficult to see details):

Another difference from the assembly-line, early service, and later service washer bags is the nozzle at the base of the washer bag.

The assembly-line / early service replacement are identical in appearance and the later service replacement is very different.

The bottom picture is that of a reproduction washer bag nozzle.

The silk screened FORD writing on the front of the washer bag is typically faint even when the washer bag is new.  The original assembly line style all the way to late service washer bags use the same silk screening format and are identical.

The reproduction bags have a very bright silk screen appearance and the layout on the reproductions is different than original.

The washer bag lids are typically the same from assembly-line style to later Ford service replacement.  The direction of the production marks in the aluminum lid may vary a bit, but overall the lids are basically the same on all the Ford washer bags.

The reproduction washer bag lid has a completely different appearance as you can see in the pics.

The backside of the original Ford washer bag compared to the reproduction bag.  The reproduction is similar to the early service replacement style, but is not the same as any of the Ford bags.
