Have you all seen the copper finished Cobra?  It looks like a big water kettle on the stove, but I really like it.  ;D

Sorry... That's very unattractive. And I'm being polite when i say that.

Even if you don't like them, the baremetal Kirkhams really show how damn good they are forming those perfect bodies.

It is the Cobra I would want (painted).

This car was at SEMA several years ago in the Ford display area. It was freaking awesome. True craftsmanship.

Rolls Royce was probably the first. In the 60s there were several copper bodied cars built by the Copper Industry. The Kirkham I think is the one that has a whole CNC chassis and suspension. They even CNCed a book to document the build. I think it was built for Paul Allen of Microsoft money.

Is the copper much heavier? Does it dent as a easily?

Does Kirkham still offer that option? How much extra is it?

Says it starts at $179,000.  Copper is harder to work with and the dust is toxic so the cost is significantly higher than a polished aluminum body.

Well it's conductive so wiring grounds would be a breeze....

The copper is significantly heavier. While I was visiting the Kirkhams a few years ago I was asked to open the trunk lid on a copper skinned Cobra, it was very heavy!

It is a MAJOR PIA to weld. I know that first hand.

There are several of them out there.  I have a Photo at home of there being at least TWO in one Collections.
