Scammer alert
« on: September 18, 2021, 07:41:11 AM »
To the forum moderator that moved my post to the locked section of the forum, that very few people see, you have done a disservice to the forum members as they are still be being scammed. The post was effectively removed from the recent topic list and buried.

Registered 9/17 and sent me a PM through forum

He answered my wanted ad for 1969 wiring harness and directed me to a gmail account

I told him actually needed a 1971 Shelby harness with the special 3 way connector and blue wires

He wrote back and said that's exactly what his "friend" had for sale

Imagine my surprise!

Scammer email Kennethlynn44@gmail.com

Do not deal with these accounts. You can see when a member registered. Do not deal with new members sending unsolicited replies and using gmail accounts.

I received a similar private message saying their "friend" has some original Goodyear Blue Dot tires that I am looking for for a Cobra.  $1200 with only 40k miles.

User is:   JG01   He says to email his friend at kennethlynn44@gmail.com

The scammer just opens a new account with a different user name.   Everyone please be careful before you agree to send money to anyone.

I just got the same type message about an item I was looking for, same name, same email address
Apparently his “friend” has anything you want 😱
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

I know this sucks, but if you pay someone with "Friends and family" you are screwing yourselves for getting your money back, if you never receive the item you bought.
