What is happening here? Just sayin' but 200K up.....? If you think about the fun factor, is it a better bargain than an original? Compare cost of restoring a 65, 66, 67 Shelby. I mean buying a Shelby, and restoring it correctly.

If you restore an original, it is a good investment? If one was to pay 170K for a 66 GT350 and wanted it restored by a actual Shelby restorer, I think you can say it would cost 200K to do it with real ford original parts. (no repo stuff). That total would be 370K and it would take a while. Would you actually have fun with it?

Please don't yell at me. And who are these drivers in the video?

80K plus 200K restoration plus parts 50K =330K
Maybe you will be able to buy one of these cars used for 80K I would imagine they would not hold their value? (But if the FOX body cars are an indicator, hmmm)

They have a point for safety.

Can you imagine driving a Shelby (new look-a-like) on a 15 hour trip? I would be tempted if I had an extra 200K, didn't mind loosing 100K right off the bat in value.

One thing I have grown to HATE is when someone sees my 67 GT350 and the first words out of their mouth is, "Is this a tribute?"

Yes, it does....I have been into Shelbys for almost 50 years and never once thought I would be asked that....I guess I just figured people know.

Because of all the copies/tributes/clones, etc., I changed my license plate answer the two most common questions that I get.
