Just heard he passed away

That's a shock.  I am looking up the particulars now.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Hasn't made the internet yet.  Must've have been very very recent. Like an hour ago or so.  Sorry to hear another racer gone.

Regardless of all the bumps he may have suffered both publicly and privately he did live a very exciting life. A full one I would say.

He will be missed.

A definite Hall of Famer.

Yes, a great loss for the automotive world.  I will always treasure the memories of him judging my cars at the Santa Fe Concorso events, and the many road tours connected to that with his lovely wife and Stirling Moss.  Bob even caught a ride in my '63 Z06 tanker, for old times sake.  He will be missed, a great racer, and man...... :'(
