Looks like a really nice example. I’m looking for one of these and trying to get an idea of the market. People here maybe have a better idea than I do. What do you guys think? $68k (negotiable):

Beautiful.  I think that guy is on Bring a Trailer by the name of TXJudge.  He sold a K-code Fairlane that was drop dead gorgeous.  This one is right up there too.

Wow. Beautiful car. AM/FM and console/tach. Very rare. Gotta like a big car though. Couldn’t build for that price. Looks solid, but inspect it. Good luck.

The 63s and 64s in my opinion are way undervalued.  you often see them sell in the $50-$60,000 range is complete solid cars which when you consider the motor alone is worth probably 25,000 is a steal.  Like most cars there are a bunch of phonies out there and a lot of rust bucket so due diligence is always required. I’ve seen a few push the hundred thousand dollar range but they never really seem to get that high. Probably because they were close to 3000 made and each 63 and 64 model year. When you get into the 65, 66s and even more so 67‘s the prices go up incredibly because they are almost impossible to find. 65 and 66 were around 250 each year and I think 67 there were less than 50 built.

For that kind of money I would expect it to have the right wheels.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how can you tell? Are there any other apparent problems you can spot?

Those are the correct hubcaps.  I didn't see a picture of the rims, which maybe what the other gentlemen is speaking about.  The 15" hipo rims are hard to find but not impossible.  The other thing to look at are the carbs to see if they are date code correct to the car.  Look at this site as it will answer a lot of your questions.   http://www.427galaxieregistry.com

You can see the spare rim in the trunk is incorrect, which would lead you to believe the other 4 rims that are covered with the correct hubcaps are more than likely not the correct HiPo rims.

I can say that 63.5 Galaxies are fantastic to drive.
I’ve often considered putting a stock engine in mine and daily driving it.
They really and truly and so comfortable.
