American Speed Festival, MI, Sept 29- Oct 2, 2022
« on: November 25, 2021, 12:14:35 PM »
While at MCACN I noticed the display for this show.  This was about 50 feet away from the Hertz display.  The event will be at the M1 Concourse, 1 Concourse Dr, Pontiac MI, 48341.
What drew me was the featured make: Shelby Automobiles.
So, in chatting with the two representative there, they wanted every year and type of Shelbys, Cobras, Ford GTs. I mostly talked with David Sherman.
I am not a representative of this event.

I spoke to him about it, might make it. Also had a guy approach me about the Cobble Beach Concurs in Canada and of course since Jim Wicks came to MCACN I now have to go to Mid America
The M1 Concourse seems really like a neat one to go to and it’s a whole closer than the other two. Only 600 miles to Detroit 🤓
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

If you drive your Hertz in Detroit, your moniker "Drive it like you stole it" may become an unpleasant reality.

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

It’s been to Detroit about 3 times
Only thing ever stolen since I’ve owned were the original hood pins when it was parked in a hotel next to Disneyland in Anaheim in 1973
I blame the mouse
