RIP great man, racer, neighbor, and fellow New Mexican. I will always remember him judging my cars at the Santa Fe Concorso over the years, and his insights and experiences about cars and racing he shared so freely.

A huge loss, one of only four drivers to win indy four times.

The only car/Lola T500..driver/Unser...team/Chaparral to win the USAC Triple Crown, Indy 500, Pocono 500 & Ontario 500, in 1978.

I think ?  he drove a Bud Moore Trans-Am Mustang at Riverside in '69.

Very sad news.  One of my racing heroes.  I remember watching him race at Trenton and Pocono.  Part of a true family dynasty (9 Indy wins between him (4), Bobby (3), and Al Jr. (2)).

Rest in peace Big Al.
