   No surprise there . Electric motors have "instant" full torque where as a gas burner has a "torque curve" and will eventually over come the electric motor powered vehicle as the electric motor will only "turn" so many rpm.

And here is where I take style over function.

Both MSRPs start at around $60k (let's not get into no one is going to order a plain Jane automobile,  just saying both cost about the same initially )

It's like when we drive our 8 mpg early Shelbys and any new muscle comes along and wants to race us.

We smile, we know we don't have the traction or technology to keep up with them.  Let them enjoy their "moment of glory" telling all their friends they beat a vintage Shelby GT500 and we continue driving the cats meow.

Not surprising......What is surprising is that body panels don't fly off the Tesla at speed as they are really,really poorly constructed.I would expect the front bumper to fly off and take out the windshield ( and possibly your face)

My take is the Mustang E is not to shabby then as the video speaks for itself. The corvette "should" be faster, it won the race, we got it, but did it? 60K?? Where do you buy a Corvette for that? And it would be the model that is the slowest?
What should be faster a 65 Shelby or a Dodge Omni?

They make two C8 Vettes the regular C8 and the C8 Z06 that is a but faster and costs a bit more
