Believe it or not - I know where there's a situation like this x 10! And yes multiple early GT350s are involved...never married, no children....that's all I'm saying!

That's nice but I do not know who Alike is and if she is available. ::)

LOL...I'm sure when that situation comes to light there will be ALOT of discussions about it! Some you hear about...I've heard about many. This one I've seen with my own eyes...it was UNREAL.

Great story.

Thank goodness it was found and purchased by a knowledgeable enthusiast.

Mr. mtdubvee or other RKIs

A question if I may. Can you enlighten me on the dash pod configuration/ type. Looks like the gauge cluster was added to a standard dashboard, to me at least. Is that standard for the 1965 model or was it added in the production cycle?

Such a cool find and relatively close by.

I'm here in Gwinnett County, let us know if the car is ever on display in Georgia!

All the best and thanks for sharing!

If you are referring to the gauge pod above the radio on the dash it houses the tachometer and oil Pressure gauge. It was added by Shelby and only on the GT350 cars.

Standard mustangs in 65-66 had a rally pac option that mounted to the steering column which houses a clock and tachometer 6k and 8k for HIPO cars.

Thanks

Yes that was it.  Now it's clear that all of GT350 cars have the gauge pod for 1965 and I'll assume 1965 only.

Thanks again for the insight.

Yes, the '65s only used this pod.  The '66s used a stand alone 9000 RPM tach.  '67 and later all had in dash tachs.
