Mecum is on lot S106 now as I write this.  Flying Ken Miles R is lot S160.  Time it right gentlemen...Anyone wonder what it will fetch?  I am thinking reserve will not be met and the bid goes on.  But who knows in a pandemic what might happen, right? $4 million maybe from the guy who missed it last time?  Who knows?

Cobras did ok yesterday but there was a 289 Cobra that went unsold while replicas seemed to be hot. Lots of money here.

What lot number is the 289 Cobra you saw that didn't sell?  I don't see it in the list.  The only small block car I see is the yellow Dragonsnake CSX2427 and the reserve was lifted at the last few seconds and it sold.

S155.1. Time 13:41 central.  I am going to predict that the bidding exceeds the winning bid last time it sold.  I think it will sell for $4 million and change, give or take $100 grand.  This flying Mustang can be yours if...the price...is right....

$3.7 million.  The owner dodged the rolling pin on that one.  "If you don't sell that G-damn Mustang we're through!!!"  Lol!

Old owner dodged it.  New owner inherited it.

OK - prediction time
New owner (person or museum) name?
Will it be on public display anywhere?
Will it ever hit the track in anger again?
How long before it hits another auction?
Which future auction does it hit $5 million total? next one? 3-4 more?
Previous owner 6S843 - GT350H & 68 GT500 Convert #135.

My unbiased opinion says:
1)Personal collection.
2)No public display.
3)Track, No.
4)A couple years.
5)3.

My mistake it was a green 428 Cobra that now has a 427.

I think the new owner bought well. I expected it to fetch more last year and this year.

Do you recall what the high bid was? Mecum said the expected a sales price in the $1.5 - $1.7 million range, which seemed optimistic since it was bid to just $1.275,000 at a Mecum event in the summer of '20.
