Aren't some of the 68 clips white instead of black?  I think I have some that are white.

Many of the 69 Shelby park lights came with a clip attached to the wire however it would not reach the hole in the galvanized splash shield bracket. Picture of park light is to show clip position only .Disregard incorrect background details.

lots wrong in that photo gary u need photos of unrestored cars to document these details. the  wrong 69 shelby white wire holders show up on nj cars 69 and 70 mustangs dearborn but not 69 shelbys.

Maybe I should have been clearer on my post. I'm not saying this is right as I always believe what you say Ed on this and Bob. I'm just showing in that a car that is perceived to be one of the best had those NJ white clips on it. As you said judges were knocking down cars for not having clips. I guess me putting clips on my car I'm guilty like others having them. I don't recall how I came to that conclusion to use those black round clips on my car as I would have to dig through a lot of papers to find what I noted during my teardown of my car 26 years ago. Probably nothing but thought it needed clips to keep the wiring in place. Any assy manuals call out clips?
