Which color is correct for 1965 GT350 steel wheels:  champagne or argent?

Harris Speedster

nightmist67,
I could be wrong, but;
I think Ford liked to use argent silver on many parts besides wheels.
I know trucks used a argent silver on there step bumpers, 55-57 bird used argent sliver on air cleaner bases, 55-57 birds used argent on their p steering pump reservoirs.
A 63 1/2 lightweight galaxie I once had, had argent silver wheels.
So I might assume, the 65 Shelby did too ?
A few examples off the top of my head.

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

mygt350,
As I started my post with, I could be wrong, and later, I assume.
I am truly not sure what champaign looks like ?
Is champaign a silver argent looking color?

I tried to look it up on color charts, DuPont, Ford etc, but was unsuccessful.
Not arguing, just trying to figure out what it looks like for future reference.
Respectfully,
John

That almost has a goldish zinc tint to it.
I have really never noticed that shade of color before.
Big Jim was a friend that I did many exchanges with over the years, his researching was always spot on.
I now know visually, what the Champaign color is.
I will log that into my brain.
Respectfully,
John
