Ford Country 500
« on: May 06, 2022, 11:39:19 AM »
For nearly 40 years Rick Titus has hosted an Indy party. Generally 30-50 people. A fun car day.
Over the years it grew from 4 couples and a 26" TV into an event that centered around a regulation Pinewood Derby track with a large screen TV generally being ignored.

He's taken it bigtime this year with an event planned at Ford Country in Henderson NV

In the past your invite - a car kit - would arrive in the mail with the theme. Today you can stop by the dealer and pick up a free kit. On the day of the event there will be free Hot Wheels cars and a track for the younger set. I imagine the impromptu car show will appear with the free coffee and donuts along with a great lunch.

I have been sworn to secrecy but can tell you there will be some "pro built" cars auctioned off for charity. They are being built by a couple shops with strong Ford ties and will be signed by some pro sports players. The local PD picked up 30 kits to race so now is your chance to outrun the cops.

Sorry guys did not attend this show. I went to the Boulder City car show instead. Had a great time, as I did last year.

164 signups. The wife came down with Covid so we didn't make it.
PS - Shelby American's cars were fastest. As soon as I get photos I'll post them. Yes the cars had VIN plates FC500-001 and FC500-002. They are being auctioned off for charity.
