This clears it up

Arizona state-assigned VIN as well as a good, clean, transferable title. Now correctly considered a high-quality aluminum-bodied re-creation it includes a mix of original and non-original Shelby parts.

Lot #766 - The current owner acquired this car in October 2000, with a conflicting history in the SAAC Cobra Registry unknown to him. In late 1981, a Cobra stated as CSX3231 was advertised by Paul Beaton of Hertfordshire, UK, described as being "Completely rebuilt during '78 on an original chassis and body, by professional Cobra specialists, using original AC equipment" with Indigo Blue paint, black upholstery, and Halibrand wheels. It was sold to a person in France, remaining there to at least 2006. However, also in 1981, a California man purchased the car offered here finished in Black with a Beige interior carrying the Shelby tag numbered CSX3231. Not aware of the documented history of CSX3231, the current owner purchased this car in October of 2000 with the title reflecting the serial number CSX3231. After recently learning of the history of CSX3231 within the Shelby Registry, the current owner acquired an Arizona state-assigned VIN as well as a good, clean, transferable title. Now correctly considered a high-quality aluminum-bodied re-creation it includes a mix of original and non-original Shelby parts. Powered by a proper 427ci side oiler with four Weber twin-choke carburetors. A custom stainless steel fuel cell was fabricated and installed during the current ownership. The odometer shows under 5,300 miles (title reads exempt). **TITLED AS 1966 OTHER SPECON**
