Here are some header brackets for mounting the front header panel to the core support. The middle unpainted ones I'm pretty sure are originals. The one on the top I'm pretty sure is a repo. What is up with the one on the bottom? My friend bought it and the seller said it was an original. Bolt doesn't thread into it, no angled off edges and appears shorter than the other 2 in the slots in reference to the rest of the bracket. Thanks. Gary

I would agree with you on the top three.  There are some "short" NOS service ones around (I have one), but they shouldn't pass judging muster; I don't know if they fit---haven't tried?

My guess from your picture is the bottom one is previous owner modified; doesn't appear to be factory correct in your shot.

Seraphim just bought it as an original piece at Columbus in April. We put it on Chris Bolla's 68 original GT350 vert(have something like 4 or 5 68 red GT350 auto verts in the Detroit area now) next to one of his brackets at a cruise night on Wed and my opinion is that it was too short to work unless the slot was opened up to the "short" end". A bolt would not thread though the bottom one either(hole too small). The top  painted bracket I have 2 and they came with my 68 Shelby in 2006 but used the ones already on the car. They are slightly different on the angle on the core support end.
