$150K all in. It's a great market for Shelbys, no matter the past history.

Don't forget to account for those suffering from the B.A.T. bid syndrome!   ::)

Yesterday I was watching a 1967 Land Rover Series IIA NADA close; well yes, it was a "nice one", not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, yes, you'll pay extra for an NADA model, BUT!...............$80,000.00 bid!  Yes folks, that's eighty thousand, for a 'nice' old Land Rover!   :o

I was at MECUM couple of weeks ago, and a 1969 Torino "H" code w/ automatic, O.K. condition aka. "a nice driver" (definitely looked better in pictures than in real life! :o ) sold at $66.000!

This is what is happening; so I guess it qualifies as the current market values?   :-\

So the car market hasn't completely rolled over yet.

Just wait, it will.   I already see signs of it happening.   First the stock market, then cryptos, now real estate is rolling over and the car market will follow shortly.  The everything bubble is bursting........ just like the Great Recession and Dot Com, it doesn't happen over night.  It takes months  or even a year or two for it to all go down.  The bubble doesn't actually "burst", it just deflates of over a period of time.  When you look at it in hindsight, it just appears to burst.

The Doom and gloom guy.

Agree. An astute observation. Not doom and gloom but rather a truth bomb of the highest order. But will that be enough to motivate me to sell the Shelby or Boss 302 for that matter? Hell no! Don't care if either of them withers away to nothing.
I'm committed to the end barring some unforeseen circumstance like a club to the head that makes me start hating collector cars and more specifically Shelby Mustangs or Boss 302s.

Just remember '82 was forty years ago!  If 'properly' invested then, and managed profitably until today (to bad you couldn't get investment tips from Nancy Pelosi  ::) ), where would you be in monetary value now?   ???

$6k invested in Apple stock in 1982 would be worth $1.3M today... but he couldn't have drove his stock   :) :) :)

Or done both.  Bought the stock and got a loan on the Shelby or vice versa.  Have it all!
