Guys,
Finishing off some museum items of Coopers.
many might remember the early ac cobra highly original detailed one we offered about 4 years ago, ended up in Switzerland with the 68 Mustang JR.

Not sure of current values, any ideas on these ?
1957 Bird, all restored correctly, disk rose or baby blue bodies.
&
1954 Ferrari 375 MM, needs full resto, missing racing wind screen and trunk lid, Ferrari starter motor drive & wire hubcaps there also
&
1950 alloy cast Nash bathtub, real cool & real heavy, all there but needs full resto.
Thoughts guys?
Thanks
John

Guys,
Most here know that I love historical research.
One never knows what will pop up.
Never to young or old to learn.
1954-1956 Ferrari " electric childs car.
Seems Wayne Carini had one of these at one time, he auctioned it, best I can find went for over $20,000 >>> a number of years ago.
Bonhams and Mecam have also auctioned a couple, high point is little over $26.000.

Quite a famous Italian designer drew it for production, Giovanni Michelotti.
Waiting on some auction reports on the Bird Jr cars, pontiac and Nash.
The Bugatti children's cars are in the stratosphere.
Here I thought the $8800. we got for the early Cobra Kart was high, should have held it and waited. Please don't be fooled though by later karts built after early/mid 70's ,

Wanted to let others know if you know of one, or run into one that can be bought out of  a storage area or garage,  you have a price guide of values and rarity.
Real man cave and museum pieces nowdays.
Regards,
john

I should have kept my 1/4 midget. I got it when I was 7 and swapped it for a 1928 Dodge when I was in 8th grade because I no longer fit.
Same company but mine was blue with tan interior.

I'd like to have one hanging on the wall but not at that price.

So Cool !!!!!!!!!
Those were the days when we were daredevils and boys were boys !
They have escalated tremendously in value now too.
Amazing how we lived without hurting ourselves with metal Tonka, wyndote, and structo trucks/cars etc.

The old 1/24th slot cars and tracks have also went crazy.
That crystal ball.

Not certain these are comparable to the Ferrari Jr you have .....

https://lbilimited.com/offerings/1961-ferrarina-tr250-childs-car/

Quite a spread on valuation.

Engineer,
Oh my,
That one at $65,000 is getting close to a 68 350 project price.

I guess when you have real cars worth millions of dollars and sometimes tens of millions, this 30-65 K might just be pocket change?

https://www.bonhams.com/auction/27712/lot/14/ferrari-bimbo-racer-v-12-1958/
Link to sale in MONACO, I hink it ended up at 25,000 ?

Yes, as you say, quite a spread to say the least.
WOW,
I am going to have a pow wow later with Cooper, thinking maybe 15-18 K for the project 375 MM now.
Prices coming back for the lowly 55-57 birds, 3,000- 7000.

As mentioned above, don't pass any by that are sleeping and seem reasonable, and if you have one, which I would think somebody here does, you have solid basis for pricing now.
Crazy !
Respectfully,
John

Getting away a bit from the op's original question, there were a number of Ferraris, Fords, and a '67 Chaparral 2F, made I believe in

France around the mid to late '60s for kids, not sure if they were electric ? I think gas powered ? They actually I think appeared at

Le Mans for one of the races. Here's a Ford GT I have in my files, this was posted here before maybe ? have others but can't find

 at the moment.

Mike,
Pretty cool.
I think if I was the owner of that, it would end up painted black with a white # 2 and white stripes !
Very cool.

This tells you the league you're playing in

Ordered New By The Rockefeller Family

PS - I still have all my old slot cars from the 60s. I may have to dig them out to bump the retirement fund.

There is a film clip somewhere of kids in these cars at some European F1 race - I'm thinking Monaco early 60s but I can't find it.
They are having a pedal car race at Goodwood though.

Look at the 2 story spectator complex that is packed with people.
Do you think a parent could pry a cell from a youngster like this now and plop them in a pedal car like this?
Cool, boys were boys and girls were girls
Seems all were enjoying themselves.
Wonder if there was fender rubbing and hard contact in the first corner ?
>>>>>>
I still have my old slot cars too, let my kids play with them while growing up, as well as my old Lionel trains and log loaders.

Phones and video games took there place.
we drifted off topic, but it is enjoyable to reminisce.

One that i picked up  took a while to figure out what it was  gas powered

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

What year do you think it is?
F -1 for sure, has to be powered by Ford>> ha
Is the gas engine with it? French Italian engine ?
Chain or belt drive?
Cool piece for everybody to see.
One thing, we are being quite original in this post !
The one Bugatti was a pre war LeMans unit.
If I recall, it brought like $75.000 about 15 years ago
