OEM material for heater foam kit - 65-68 Mustang
« on: August 22, 2022, 02:22:15 PM »
Hi all,

Is there a vendor left that still sells the 65-68 Mustang foam heater seal kit with the OEM foam?  I am finding many sell the Dennis Carpenter kit which is made from a more solid duration foam.  The OEM foam is more of an open cell.  In the attached image, you can see the OEM style foam.  The vendor that has this image now sells the Dennis Carpenter kit.  So their website image no longer matches the product they send.   I am hoping to find a vendor that still sell the OEM material.  Please advise.

Thanks

Cory

Va Mustang had these, haven't checked in a while.  NPD also had them also.

Wouldn't be terribly hard to make if the material could be sourced.

It has been a several years, but Hobby Lobby had a product I think was then called "art foam?" which was very close to factory stuff.  You cut your pieces to size from sheets.

Thanks guys for the ideas.  I also had a fellow member sell me an older kit with the OEM material.

Take care
