Bill Collins

Take a look at this great opening sequence featuring a '66 Hertz car from the 2005 version of War Of The worlds in this link to the theatrical trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msxe3yJPfyY

The car is 6S1886 - owned by Gino Lucci, who at the time headed a New York City company called Picture Cars, which supplied vehicle services to the film and TV industry. Gino sometimes put 1886 into cameo roles in the films he worked on. It was Russell Crowe's ride in American Gangster. I worked with Gino on that project to supply the stunt double that was blown up.

I believe Gino also did the work on the sequence from I Am Legend where Will Smith drives the red GT500 through a showroom window.

Stills of these scenes are posted elsewhere in this thread.

On September 9, 1964, Nicole Cruchot cruised around in a Poppy Red 1964.5 Mustang convertible in the French comedy Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez. Known to American audiences as The Troops of St. Tropez, Cruchot's character, Geneviève Grad, holds the distinct honor of being the first person to drive a Ford Mustang on the silver screen.
