Hillsboro All Ford Show - 2018
« on: June 05, 2018, 01:31:04 PM »
I took a couple photos of some GT350's at the Hillsboro All Ford Show (Oregon) on Saturday.  Sorry, I didn't take any photos of the late model Shelbys (sorry...  :-\ )  It was a nice warm sunny day.   Quite a few Fords and Mustangs showed up.

All three GT350's were sold at Marv Tonkin Ford in Portland, OR

The two 1966 GT350's were delivered together on the same truck to Marv Tonkin fron SAI and sat on the lot together with another one (green).   The red car, 6S1519 has had an interesting history with a Chevrolet small block in it years ago.   All three cars are well known in the area.  The two blue cars have been owned by their owners for nearly 40 years plus.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.   :)

THANK YOU for sharing these photos and the Shelby numbers!

The '67 is noted in the registry as originally sold through Larsen Ford in NY.
It was later traded in to Marv Tonkin Ford in '75 for a van! Yes, that's right, a van!
Did you happen to get and rear views or interiors photos?

Thank you for the information!  I hadn't checked the registry yet, I was just going off what one of the owner's said that day.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of the rear or interior.

No apologies needed. I'm thankful for the pictures you did take and share!
Got love the 70's...I'm still surprised by the Van trade-in. probably done up with custom features.

By the way, where is Hillsboro, in WA?

Haha!  Crazy to think trading it in for a Van.

Hillsboro is in Oregon.  West of Portland just a few miles.

In 1976 my Dad almost traded in his 1967 Mustang fastback A code 4 speed for a new Toyota Celica.  Thankfully he didn't have any credit at 19 years old, so the bank didn't allow the trade-in to happen.   He still has the Mustang today and will never sell it.   These cars were just that, used old cars, nothing too special at that time.

Great pics - thanks for sharing!  And, the extra info was icing on the cake.
Nothing beats a classic!
