yes they are great cars and worthy of the $100,000 dollar restoration process it will take to repair them.

What do they do with the cars that run or ran on the salt flats?
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Clean the hell out of them afterwards.  It's just salt...not salt water.  Clean it THOROUGHLY and it'll be okay.

But if you go to rent a car at SLC airport, you have to sign a statement that you'll not be taking it on the salt flats.

As I have said before, it's just glass, rubber, metal, fiberglass, but it's just material. Life is precious.

Perfect candidates for "Graveyard Cars"

I have good reason to believe that the 69 Hemi Orange Dodge Daytona was already freshened up at Graveyard Carz as the couple mentions that they had four winged cars and I believe they said they were in Florida.

(I set the time stamp for where the interview begins.  Mark Worman is over the top in the lower left hand of the screen with his commentary.  I like him regardless of what some or in fact many say to the contrary.
