If it starts it's streetable.
Overkill is just enough.

Everyone has to remember that in the mid 70s the country was suffering through the oil crisis.

Most muscle cars where put in hibernation or even junked.

Some of the manufacturers even stopped making and marketing their muscle cars.

The Mustang continued to be produced through the years.

So next time you are at a car show take time to go over to that Mustang II and thank it because it saved the Mustang for us to enjoy today....

with a charmed life.

Considering the location and the remains of the house, the Mustang II is probably worth more than the house! lol

For once, I actually agree with Tony! The Mustang II is not a bad looking car in all respects. Speaking of respect, IF the II had the 5.0 HO engines, it would be considered an honorable car. Its only because during this time period, Camaro and Firebird was a superior performer.

Love that King Cobra...is it true that very early ones had a 351? As a kid I thought I saw one at the Ford Dealer. I do know one car I did see was a FACTORY window sticker Torino Sport with a 460 all Black!

The II sold great for Ford.  Remember those two early Oil Crisis'?  The II was a small, fuel efficient car for the time.

All Mustang II's (with V-8s) had a 302 2V.

And the first 1982 5.0 HO also had a 2V carb and was rated @ 157-ish HP. And we KNOW how those little 2V HOs kicked the crap out of the 4V Camaros and Fireturds during this time period.
