I believe the block FoMoCo was ‘67 and the oval was ‘68?

Not the case. 67 in the oval has a C7 engineering number where as the 68 version has a C8 engineering number.

FYI so that you can widen your net ,there is no difference on a Shelby application between A/C and no A/C as it pertains to the fan shroud. Extra cooling package was specified for all.
