WTB - 69 Shelby GT 350 Carburetor Spacer
« on: November 22, 2022, 02:46:45 PM »
All,
Looking for a correct, original carburetor spacer plate for a 1969 Shelby GT 350 351W 4V engine. I believe the correct spacer is dark phenolic material with a straight outlet on the back for PVC hose connection. If this is not the correct description for the correct part I would appreciate any additional details/information you can share.
This is for a mid-January built car. Thanks for your help.

Believe the type of style depends on when your car was built.

Prior to April 69 the spacer plate would most likely be the style that has the short straight steel nipple.

That is one that was used at the beginning of production before evolving to the later style with the longer different shaped tube.

#2060 April 7th build has the short straight tube.

Yes around that beginning April time is when the transition appeared. FYI the build date of the car is later then the assembly date of the engine. ;)  Approximately April 15 /69 when BOSS 302 production started had the Boss engine with the new style plate fully integrated into production . 351 W was plus or minus some.
